The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) offers a full range of engaging study programmes at the bachelor‘s, master‘s and doctoral levels. The programmes are designed to prepare professionals to be capable of addressing the greatest challenges of our time.
The programmes include food safety, society‘s adaptation to climate change, the fourth industrial revolution in agriculture and forestry, renewable energy, and biodiversity protection. The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTA) as part of the CZU is a unique institution with over fifty years of tradition in tropical agriculture, rural development and natural resource management in developing countries and tropical regions.

FTA offers studies in multicultural environment, internships and research projects abroad, modern labs and research teams. The Faculty provides students with a broad educational background, covering the entire field of both the agrarian sector in tropical regions and international development cooperation.
Other teaching and research facilities: modern lecture halls, seminar rooms, greenhouses, experimental and demonstration stables, or libraries. FTA has also own Botanical Garden.
FTA is based in its own „green“ building. The Pavilion of Tropical AgriSciences offers the most modern spaces enabling interactive teaching methods such as „classroom response system“, laboratory equipment for student practice and facilities for scientific activities. The pavilon of Tropical AgriSciences won the price in the Adapterra Awards, the contest for the best adaptation solution to climate change.
Several student associations and groups host programmes for those with an active social life. If you want to get involved in events, there is a wide selection to choose from. These associations organize events of all kinds, such as university newspapers, special interest groups, and engaging in volunteering or sustainable development.
