Learning outcomes
Students will acquire theoretical, methodological and factual knowledge on a range of multilateral and bilateral forest governance initiatives in different world regions. This will include e.g. the Tropics (such as Amazonia, Central Africa, and South as well as South-East Asia), pan-Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Students will be able to assess regional initiatives’ options and capacities to interact with global as well as national and sub-national actors and institutions. They will be able to analyse the effects of international initiatives on local scales and to link the two for desired practical outcomes e.g. along the SDGs.
